Raven, who is usually in good form, is doing a somewhat loosely-based Fetus pose. Although we prefer that this pose is much tighter and rounder, it's still an acceptable example, especially since he had recently suffered a back injury.
Although this pose is atypical, the Sentimentalist is still an important cat pose. Note how Jones has his front legs crossed, as if he is contentedly watching his favorite movie, chatting with a friend, or pondering his kittenhood. His facial expression punctuates the emotion portrayed by his body language.
The Log is one of the most common of all cat poses. The most important aspect of the Log is that the cat is in a long, cylindrical pose with the head resting in front of the cat. If the head is up, it is most likely going to be classified as The Sphinx, depending on the positioning of the legs.
Here is a side view of the Log. Note the legs are either under or close to the body and the head is on the surface in front. Even though the cat is exhibiting a slight curve to his spine, he is still classified as having true Log form.
